Into the Woods Audition Information

General Auditions: December 5th and 6th from 6:30-9:30 at the Envision Center.

Please reserve a 10-minute time-slot in advance for either 12/5 or 12/6 to ensure a timely audition for everyone.

For your general audition, please use the following guidelines to prepare a 1-2 minute monologue, and 16 bars of a song from a musical.

Monologues: Please prepare a 1-2 minute memorized dark-comedic monologue. You may also prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary, dramatic monologue. However, a 2nd monologue is not a requirement.

Music: Please prepare 16 bars of music from a broadway musical. Preferably a Sondheim Musical, however this is not required.

Please have the sheet music for your song available for our pianist at auditions. If that is not possible, you may bring a recorded track, and connect to a provided speaker.

Callbacks:

Callbacks for music will be held Wednesday, December 7th from 6:30-8:30. Those called-back will be notified on Tuesday evening , and will be given 16 bars of a song from the show to begin preparing.

Callbacks for script reading will be held Thursday, December 8th from 6:30-9:30. 

If you are called back for music on Wednesday(7th), you will also need to attend callbacks on Thursday(8th) for script readings.

Rehearsals:

Begin with the first read-through on January 5th then run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6:30-9:00. All actors will not be called every night, but rehearsals will not deviate from those dates and times unless absolutely necessary. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be sent to actors after auditions.

*All actors are welcome to audition, but only those 18+ years older will be cast in the show.

**The roles of Red Ridinghood has been cast. All other roles remain open for audition.
